Exciting New Changes - Fall 2010

ClarkPod C

Dear Clemmons:One Parents:

We are thrilled to announce some exciting new plans for the 2010-2011 Clemmons:One student ministry year! We believe these changes will equip our ministry to transform our students into disciples of Christ in an even more effective manner.

Beginning with our Fall Kickoff (Sunday, Sept 12th), we will have two Sunday night programs with two full sets of amazing ministry volunteers. This will be our ongoing Sunday night schedule:

• Middle school students will meet from 4:30 - 5:30pm
• All students will eat dinner together from 5:30 - 6:00pm
• High school students will meet from 6:00 - 7:30pm

The new schedule reflects not only the growing number of students attending Clemmons:One each week but also our desire to reach students where they are. Our goal is to build a strong Christian community at Clemmons:One where students will interact with their peer group and receive age-appropriate encouragement as they grow in their relationships with God.

By creating age-specific programs for the different stages in their development, we hope to sustain students throughout middle and high school, nurturing a mobile faith that will be with them throughout their lives.

Our new Sunday PM plan will feature relevant messages, faith building activities, community worship time, and Bible study. Every other week, students will meet in small groups to discuss topics and grow in faith with their peers. We will continue to implement special outreach events for both middle school and high school and will make service to our church and community a priority.

Attached you will find the ongoing weekly Clemmons:One schedule.

OUR SUNDAY PM VOLUNTEER TEAM
We are blessed to have a strong group of committed volunteers who have a heart for young people, love the Lord, and wish to passionately guide this next generation towards Christ. If you are interested in joining us, contact Clark.

Sue Clayton, Susan Donahue, Leslie Monteith, Dale Jeanes, Chris Holbrook and Tim Convery
Our high school volunteer ministry team includes:
Jeff Prince, Ann Marie Chilton, Amy Stemper, Bob Gammon, Rob Ball and Kim Ball

FALL KICKOFF - SEPTEMBER 12
All parents & students, please RSVP for the kickoff dinner at www.clemmonsone.com/kickoff by September 7th.
Please join us on Sunday, September 12th for our kickoff, parent meeting, and a parenting seminar led by Dr. Robbi Fisher.

Sunday Kickoff Schedule
4:25 - parents drop off students, head to Chapel for seminar & refreshments
4:30-5:30 - Middle School Ministry (middle school parenting seminar held simultaneously in Chapel)
5:30 - All Students & Parents Dinner
6:00 - middle school pickup
6:00-7:30 - High School Ministry (high school parenting seminar held simultaneously in Chapel)

Parents, you are the key to exhibiting God as the main priority in the lives of young people. We encourage you to use your personal example as the catalyst that drives them to church, to Christ, and towards this ministry, where we love them and encourage them in their God-given identities. Simultaneous youth group (their peers) attendance and church attendance (different generations) are both equally and vitally important towards a well-rounded Christian faith.

NEW ONE:AM (Sunday school) CURRICULUM - LIVE
As always, our ONE:AM curriculum works in tandem with our Sunday PM themes. Our new ONE:AM curriculum allows us four years of substantive and holistic topics that cover every facet of Christian formation. For more info on LIVE, go to: live.simplyyouthministry.com
We encourage all students to attend ONE:AM every Sunday from 9:45-10:45am!
