THE MISSION OF THE STUDENT MINISTRY OF CLEMMONS UMC IS:

to transform students into disciples of Jesus Christ

This is accomplished through 3 components:

REACH (faith sharing)- utilizing trips & local events, the Sunday AM (sunday school) environment, & the Sunday PM (teaching/worship/program) as outreach components, we create environments in which students are excited to invite their non-church attending friends.

TRANSFORM (faith growing) - weekly small group experiences, seperated by grade and gender, help facilitate spiritual growth as students learn from the Bible, the encouragement of their peers, and the wisdom of their adult volunteer leaders.

SERVE (faith works)

in church serve - by encouraging our students to serve within the life of Clemmons UMC, students are encouraged to live out their faith in tangible & relevant ways. Serving as a greeter or an usher, assisting with childcare, helping with tech needs, or many other opportunities make the church stronger and also allow for discipleship to occur in the life of our students. Not only that, service in the church equips students for a life of faith during college as it teaches them how to thrive in the church as a young adult.

out of church serve - the main component of our outside service is our yearly summer trip to Carolina Cross Connection in which students serve the elderly and less fortunate with home repair needs.  This is a powerful missional experience that we strongly encourage all students (rising 9th grade & above) to attend. Our middle school students (rising 7th-8th) attend SpiritUs at Caswell Beach, NC which involves a weekend of retreat activities along with service opportunities.

REACH --- TRANSFORM --- SERVE

In the midst of these three mission areas, we encourage our students to LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, and then LOVE THEMSELVES.
